How to measure
- Measure the width of the window opening (outside of trim to outside of trim) in three places; use the largest.
- Measure the height the same way.
- Pick the next size up in the size grid, or email us your exact numbers for a custom quote.
- Check for obstructions above the window (soffits, gutters) — the shutter hinges from the top and needs clearance to lift.
Why aluminum, not wood or composite
Wood Bahama shutters look great for one season, then Florida happens: humidity swells the louvers, sun checks the finish, and the hinges rust. Composite is better but heavy and limited in size. Extruded aluminum with a powder-coat finish is light enough to lift with one hand, strong enough to take Gulf Coast wind, and needs only a hose-down. That is why almost every new Bahama shutter you see on a Florida coastal home is aluminum.

How much do aluminum Bahama shutters cost?
Our Bahama shutters start at $420 for a decorative 24" x 36" FauxView and $852 for a functional 24" x 36" ClearView. Price scales with size; every product page shows the full size grid with pricing, and financing is available at checkout.
What is the difference between ClearView, ShadeView and DecoView?
ClearView uses a lighter frame and open louver spacing for maximum view and airflow. ShadeView has tighter louvers for more shade and privacy. DecoView adds a decorative frame profile for a heavier, more architectural look. FauxView is a fixed decorative shutter that doesn't hinge.
Can I install Bahama shutters myself?
Many customers do. Each shutter ships with hinges and support arms; you supply fasteners suited to your wall (or add our installation-fastener kit). If you'd rather have them installed, ask us about installers in your area.
What sizes do you make?
Standard widths of 24" to 72" and heights of 36" to 72" are in the online size grid. Larger, arched or unusual openings can be quoted — send us your measurements.
Will the color fade?
The powder-coat finish is applied electrostatically and oven-cured, which is far more UV-stable than paint. Choose from standard colors or wood-grain finishes.
Do Bahama shutters count as hurricane shutters?
