1800Awnings builds custom shade structures at our own plant in Tampa and delivers them factory-direct to Lakeland, FL — about 35 miles via I-4 east. No dealer, no middleman, no markup between the extrusion and your patio. We have been manufacturing in Florida since 1987, and we run trucks into Central Florida every week — this is not a territory we bought a lead list for.
Polk County sits in the middle of the peninsula where afternoon storms form daily in summer, and Lakeland's historic districts want shade that suits a 1920s bungalow rather than a builder-grade box. Fixed aluminum canopies carry the load here: entrances, walkways and drive-throughs that have to stand up year-round without anyone touching a switch.
Being away from the coast is an easier environment in every way that costs money: no salt load and lower design pressures, which means more of your budget goes into span, motorization and finish instead of corrosion hardware. Inland Florida is the cheapest place in the state to buy a big, well-built cover.
Every system is cut and built to your opening — there are no stock sizes here. The range we ship into Lakeland most often:
Polk County sits outside the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, but Florida design wind speeds still govern everything that bolts to a wall. We size posts, beams and anchors to the wind load at your actual address and send the engineering package with the order, so your permit application and your HOA architectural committee both get documentation instead of a brochure.
We deliver and install throughout Lake Morton, Dixieland, Grasslands, Winter Haven, Auburndale, Plant City and Bartow — and across the rest of Polk County. If you are just outside that list, we almost certainly still cover you; Central Florida is a regular run for our trucks.
Factory-direct pricing, FL sales tax where it applies, and free freight:
Want a real number rather than a range? Send dimensions and a photo of the wall and we will come back with a firm quote, usually within the hour. See the full awning cost guide or read how to measure your opening first.
Yes. We manufacture in Tampa and serve Lakeland and the rest of Polk County directly, about 35 miles from the plant via I-4 east. We also ship factory-direct to all 48 contiguous states with free freight, so you can buy from us and use your own installer if you prefer.
Retractable awnings run roughly $1,924 to $6,000 depending on width, projection and whether you go motorized. Aluminum and louvered pergolas typically land between $6,500 and $18,000. Canopies, Bahama shutters and hurricane screens are quoted to the opening. Because we are the manufacturer, there is no dealer markup in any of those numbers.
Our aluminum systems are engineered to the Florida design wind speed at your address, and we send the sealed calculations with the order. Retractable fabric systems are designed to be stowed before a named storm — the frame stays, the fabric rolls in. Fixed aluminum structures are engineered to stay put.
Most attached structures in Polk County do. We supply the engineering package, wind-load calculations and product approval numbers your permit application needs. If your community has an architectural review committee, we can also supply finish samples and elevation drawings for approval.
Quotes usually come back within an hour during business hours. Manufacturing runs two to three weeks from approved order, and freight to Lakeland is included. Rush schedules are sometimes possible — ask when you call.
