Retractable awnings on the big marketplaces run $450 to $1,500. The gap isn't margin — it's material. Budget units typically use thinner aluminum extrusions, polyester or vinyl fabric that fades within a few seasons rather than solution-dyed acrylic, lighter arm hardware with shorter travel, and are built to stock sizes so you fit your patio to the awning instead of the other way round. Ours are cut to your exact opening and built in our own Tampa factory.
