Retractable-Roof Pergolas: The Renson Camargue Skye Explained
Almost every louvered pergola does one trick: it rotates its blades. The Renson Camargue Skye does something more — the entire roof section slides fully open, stacking the blades aside to reveal clear, unobstructed sky. It's the difference between filtered shade and a true open-air room you can close on demand.
Rotating blades vs. a retractable roof
A standard louvered roof tilts its blades from open to closed, always leaving the blades overhead. The Camargue Skye retracts the blades entirely, so when it's a perfect Florida evening you get full sky and starlight — then close it watertight when the sun gets harsh or a storm arrives.
How it works
- Rotate up to 150° for adjustable shade and ventilation, like the standard Camargue.
- Fully retract the roof to open the space completely to the sky.
- Close watertight with integrated drainage routing rain through the columns.
- Motorized control by app, remote or automatic rain and wind sensors.
Like every Renson system, it's Miami-Dade certified, built from aircraft-grade aluminum, and available with integrated lighting, heating and Fixscreen® screens. Compare the Camargue, Camargue Skye and Algarve →
