1800AWNINGS

1800Awnings builds custom shade structures at our own plant in Tampa and delivers them factory-direct to Fort Lauderdale, FL — about 265 miles via I-75 across Alligator Alley. No dealer, no middleman, no markup between the extrusion and your patio. We have been manufacturing in Florida since 1987, and we run trucks into South Florida every week — this is not a territory we bought a lead list for.
Broward is inside the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, which means product approval is not optional and a generic awning will not pass. Fixed aluminum canopies carry the load here: entrances, walkways and drive-throughs that have to stand up year-round without anyone touching a switch.
On the water we switch to our coastal package as standard: stainless fasteners, marine-grade powder coat and sealed end caps. It is the difference between a finish that still looks new in year eight and one that chalks and streaks by year three. If your project is on a barrier island or directly on a canal or the Intracoastal, tell us — it changes the hardware, not the price of the frame.
Every system is cut and built to your opening — there are no stock sizes here. The range we ship into Fort Lauderdale most often:
Fort Lauderdale is inside the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. In practice that means a Broward County inspector will ask for a Florida Product Approval or Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance number before anything gets attached to your wall, and generic imported awnings do not carry one. Every aluminum system we build for Fort Lauderdale ships with the engineering package, load calculations and approval documentation your permit application needs — we prepare it as part of the order, not as an extra.
We deliver and install throughout Las Olas, Victoria Park, Rio Vista, Coral Ridge, Wilton Manors, Harbor Beach and Sailboat Bend — and across the rest of Broward County. If you are just outside that list, we almost certainly still cover you; South Florida is a regular run for our trucks.
Factory-direct pricing, FL sales tax where it applies, and free freight:
Want a real number rather than a range? Send dimensions and a photo of the wall and we will come back with a firm quote, usually within the hour. See the full awning cost guide or read how to measure your opening first.
Yes. We manufacture in Tampa and serve Fort Lauderdale and the rest of Broward County directly, about 265 miles from the plant via I-75 across Alligator Alley. We also ship factory-direct to all 48 contiguous states with free freight, so you can buy from us and use your own installer if you prefer.
Retractable awnings run roughly $1,924 to $6,000 depending on width, projection and whether you go motorized. Aluminum and louvered pergolas typically land between $6,500 and $18,000. Canopies, Bahama shutters and hurricane screens are quoted to the opening. Because we are the manufacturer, there is no dealer markup in any of those numbers.
Our aluminum systems are engineered to Florida design wind speeds and, for Fort Lauderdale, to High-Velocity Hurricane Zone requirements with the product approval documentation to prove it. Retractable fabric systems are designed to be stowed before a named storm — the frame stays, the fabric rolls in. Fixed aluminum structures are engineered to stay put.
Most attached structures in Broward County do. We supply the engineering package, wind-load calculations and product approval numbers your permit application needs. If your community has an architectural review committee, we can also supply finish samples and elevation drawings for approval.
Quotes usually come back within an hour during business hours. Manufacturing runs two to three weeks from approved order, and freight to Fort Lauderdale is included. Rush schedules are sometimes possible — ask when you call.
